Deuteronomy 32:18-20

¹⁸ You deserted the rock who formed you;
    you forgot God, who fathered you.
¹⁹ When the Lord saw it, he despised them;
    his sons and his daughters frustrated him.
²⁰ He said, “I will hide my face from them
    and watch to see how they end,
for they are a perverse generation,
    children who are unfaithful.
